RADIANCE. This FRIDAY! April 15th. 8pm opening

Hey All.

 

I made this poster, a 18” X 24” 4 color silk screen for a show i’m curating a lot of, called RADIANCE.

Opening 8pm – a group art show featuring a crew of artists from NYC and Mpls artists working in diverse media, yet with similar concerns.  1/2 of the art show INTO THE NEON, makes it’s way to mpls, and is agugmented by local talents.  This “queer” show is not defined by identitarian lines, but instead positions work that addresses aesthetics of visionary/queer collectivity, imaginary communes, and counterpublic ideals.  Additional gallery hours on Saturday 2-8pm, and Sunday 1-5pm.

Daniel Luedtke is a self-taught printmaker / artist / musician from Minneapolis MN. His brightly colored, graphicly bold prints utelize geometric abstraction paired with ubsurdist figurative elements that are often inspired by feminist politics, folk art, and kitsch. He got his start printing posters for his band Gay Beast back in 2006 and has since gotten many poster, packaging, and merchandise commissions. After completing a few printmaking residencies in 2008 and 2009 his focus has tended more toward fine-art printmaking, creating larger prints and installations for shows both in the u.s. and abroad.
